Q:   Who is a REALTOR®
A:   REALTOR® is a licensed agent who is a member of local, state and national professional trade  associations. They have access to educational programs, research and resources. They also operate  under a strict Code of Ethics developed by the National Association of REALTORS®.

Q:   How do I find a Property Inspector?
A:   To find a service provider go to sccaor.com and click on the public site. Then click on Service  Provider.

Q:  Who can be a member of SCCAOR?
A:  To become a member of SCCAOR you need to be a licensed broker or a licensed agent working  under a broker that is a member at SCCAOR.

Q:   How can I become a member of SCCAOR?
A:   You can get an applicaton on line at sccaor.com. Go to About Us and click on Join SCCAOR, or click here.

Q:   What is Orientation?
A:   The New Member Orientation is designed to inform you about the background of the Association, its Rules and Regulations, the Code of Ethics, Arbitration, Mediation, Professional Standards Procedures, and Multiple Listing Service Rules and Regulations.

Q:  What is a secondary membership?
A:  Secondary membership is an opportunity for a REALTOR® or Broker member who has already  stated their primary status with another Association to enjoy the benefits and services of another  association.

Q:  What benefits do I receive as a secondary member?
A:  Secondary members receive the same benefits as primary members (except free PC tech support). The only difference in  membership is that your CAR and NAR dues are paid through your primary association.

Q: What is the cost for secondary membership?
A: $180 per year, $45 less each quarter.  Click here for an application.

Q:   How can I transfer my primary membership to SCCAOR?
A:   Submit your completed SCCAOR application with Broker signatures along with a letter of good standing from the association you are transferring from.

Q: How can I rejoin SCCAOR?
A:  If it has been more than 2 years you will need to fill out a new application.  If you are with the same broker and it is under 2 years you can come in and update your information and pay your dues.
