Ombudsman
SCCAOR Ombudsman Program
SCCAOR offers the services of an Ombudsman for counseling members and settling disputes. The Ombudsman may assist in answering questions from REALTORS®, as well as, the public, on the procedures of the Association. The Ombudsman can respond to a wide variety of inquiries and complaints including: general questions about real estate practice, transaction details, ethical practices, and enforcement issues.
Ombudsman: Resource Specialist
The Ombudsman may also serve as a resource on ethical matters by showing where to find Case Interpretations, Standards of Practice, Articles of the Code of Ethics, as well as answering questions about specific forms used in the Association proceedings. Since the function of the Ombudsman is mainly that of an information resource and a public relations person, he or she cannot render an opinion on whether someone's claim has merit or speculate on the chances of success of the ethics or arbitration claim.
If you would like to utilize the ombudsman service or have questions, please contact our Professional Services Department at 408.445.5099 or email: pro_stnds@sccaor.com
